Welcome to the City of Connellsville, located in Fayette County in Southwestern Pennsylvania along the banks of the Youghiogheny River. Originally founded as a borough on March 1, 1806, in February 1909, balloting in New Haven and Connellsville resulted in these two boroughs joining and becoming the first City on Fayette County on May 12, 1911, and currently has a population of 9,146, according to the 2000 census.

Wesley United Methodist Church is having an "All you can eat" spaghetti and meatball dinner wiith saled, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost for adults is only $7.00 and children 12 and under is only $3.00. Takeouts and curb-side pickup is available. Benefits the Wesley Health Center.

11th Annual Connellsville Community Yard Sale

The 11th Annual Connellsville Community Yard Sale 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, sponsored by the Community Events Committe of the Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce. Registration fee is $5, which includes your yard sale location on the master address list, house sign, balloons and advertising on Armstrong Channel 20 and in the Daily Courier. To be placed on the list, please contact the Chamber office for more information. Address lists will be availabilite at the Chamber booth next to Lion's Square on the day of the sale for $0.25. You can also set up a table of your own at Lion's Square for a fee of $10. Any questions? Call 724-628-5500. All proceeds benefit the July 3rd fireworks in Connellsville.

Rabies Clinic, Sponsored by the Lions Club

The Lions Club is sponsoring a Rabies Clinic at Lions Square on Saturday, May 3, 2014. The cost is $10.00 per pet and it will run from 2 pm to 4 pm. Please have all dogs and cats on leasher or in a carrier. Dr. Howard Markle, Jr.. Veterinarian will be handling this event.

CAHS Patriots Annual Auction held May 8th at the National Guard Readiness Center on Petersburg Road in Connellsville. Donations and Monetary donations are always welcome and are tax deductible.
