City of Connellsville, Pennsylvania
Welcome to the City of Connellsville, located in Fayette County in Southwestern Pennsylvania along the banks of the Youghiogheny River. Originally founded as a borough on March 1, 1806, in February 1909, balloting in New Haven and Connellsville resulted in these two boroughs joining and becoming the first City on Fayette County on May 12, 1911, and currently has a population of 9,146, according to the 2000 census.

All Summer Long - Connellsville Community Gardens-2 locations (so far), corner of Crawford Avenue and Pittsburgh Street; and the corner lot in front of the Community Center on Fairview Avenue. This project is spearheaded by the Great Allegheny Passage Trail Town Outreach Corps and manned by any citizens of Connellsville who want to be involved. Looking to volunteer your time and muscle? Call the Project Leader Elisa at 828-242-1219 (cell) or Robin at 724-603-3151 (Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm). This is a community project and NEEDS the COMMUNITY!!

Sock Hop sponsored by the Connellsville Chamber of Commerce. From 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm the community is invited to Lions Square to dance and enjoy doo-wop from the mid 50's to early 60's. "Just Havin' Fun" has donated their time and talent for everyone to enjoy a fun evening in honor of the Chamber's 80th anniversary this year. This is another free event sponsored by the Connellsville Area Chamber of Commerce. Non-profits will be set up in the area to showcase their organizations activities. Fireworks will follow. Rain date for the fireworks is Sunday, July 5th, the Sock Hop will not be rescheduled. Lions Square
