Welcome to the City of Connellsville, located in Fayette County in Southwestern Pennsylvania along the banks of the Youghiogheny River. Originally founded as a borough on March 1, 1806, in February 1909, balloting in New Haven and Connellsville resulted in these two boroughs joining and becoming the first City on Fayette County on May 12, 1911, and currently has a population of 9,146, according to the 2000 census.

Stage Door Canteen Room

Located in the Connellsville Canteen at 131 West Crawford Avenue, this small, informal area will hold about 40 people for lectures, musical entertainment or a dinner show. On September 9, 2014, Jeff Monahan, film writer, actor and producer, will lecture about films, his projects and experiences from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The lecture is free and light refreshments will be served; October 18th, enjoy a dinner show and evening with Katelyn Ritenour and Tyler Hough from 6 pm to 9 pm. The cost of the dinner and show is $20; On November 14th, come back for a night of bluegrass music featuring Barry Hall and George Kenney, Southern Comfort Band Experience from 6 pm to 9 pm. The cost of the dinner and show is $30; on December 13th, a dinner show is offered with Talbot and Maddow Maruca from 6 pm to 9 pm, with a cost of $20 for the dinner and show.

Haunted Hallways

The Community Center wants to be your favorite spot this spooky, Halloween season. Every Friday and Saturday, you can go and see what makes the Hallways so Haunted, if you dare!!! Haunted Hallways will take place Fridays, October 3, 10, 17, and 31st, from 6:30 to 10:00 pm and on Saturdays, October 4, 11,18 and November 1st, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. What will you see on this 'Haunted Hallways' Tour, you ask??? You'll see what you want to see, like ghosts, zombies, VooDoo Doctors, even walk thru a cemetary, and more. The cost is $6.00 per person, but only $5.00 if you donate a can of food for to Connellsville Community Ministries. There's also going to be a Monster Mash Dance for children ages 5 - 12 on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $3.00 and if your child brings a canned good for the Connellsville Community Ministries, they'll get a $1.00 discount. This will take place in Project Talent Room 302, on the third floor. Project Talent Theater Workshops will be presenting a Parade of Costumes and Trick or Treat. On Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Prizes to be awarded and refreshments will be sold. Canned goods for the Connellsville Community will be collected. Myths, Legends and Ghosts. Come if you Dare! This is interactive Storytelling . Tickets are $6.00, but only $5.00 if you bring a canned good for the Connellsville Community Ministries,. Showtimes: Friday, October 24th - 6:00 pm and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Oct 6, 2014 to November 8, 2014 CAHS Patriots project to place wreaths on graves of Veterans in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. Please give a donation so a wreath may be placed on every Veterans grave at this National Cemetery. One wreath is $15; 4 wreaths is $60. Give what you can. Trick or Treat on Halloween

For the first time in a long time, Trick or Treat will be celebrated on Halloween this year. So, get ready for ghosts, goblins, pirates and princesses to knock on your door! Trick or Treat is scheduled for Friday, October 31st from 6 pm to 85 pm.
2014 Buy Local Summit

This summit will highlight southwestern Pennsylvania food production and processing. Local agricultural experts will be attending and you can join in on several panel discussions. Speakers include: U.S. Deputy Sec. of Agriculture Krysta Harden; Tom Williams, PA State Director USDA Rural Development; and Bill Wehry, State Executive Director Farm Service Agency. The cost to attend is $15.00 and lunch will be prepared by Chef Jeremy Critchfield of The Historic Stone House Inn & Restaurant. Ingredients for the lunch will be sourced as local to our region as possible.
