Sponsored by the Connellsville Veterans Commission, this program will honor not only Veterans, but all the Patriots of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Various speakers include: Todd Conner, Director of Fayette County Veteran Affairs; Ted Davis; MC Jerry Browell, Former Superintendent of Connellsville School District; and Reverend Beverly Gross of Albright United United Methodist Church. The Connellsville High School Band will perform selections. Local area Police, Fire and EMS departments are invited to attend, as this program also honors their service to our community.

First Annual Autumn Mum Festival

Welcome to the 1st Mum Festival! Along our downtown street there will be artisians, crafters, food vendors and more. Lion's Square will have musical talents throughout the day. Come early to purchase your mums and stay for the fun afterwards. Other things to do will be a pumpkin carving contest, a pie eating contest and maybe even a hayride.

Please remember that Veolia will NOT pick up the following items: Tires, Toxic Liquids (paint, pesticides, oil or gas) or Appliances that contain Freon that have not been tagged by a licensed technician stating that the Freon has been removed.
16th Annual Yough River Trail Fall Foliage Ride

The 16th Annual Connellsville Yough River Trail Fall Foliage Ride, Sunday October 17, 2010, at 1:00 pm. Registration and packet pick-up begins at noon at Yough Park. Ride the bike trail and see the fall colors with all your family and friends. At 3:00 pm a family picnic will be provided by Janet and George Pushkar, the Lions Club of Connellsville and the Yough River Trail Council. Children ages 12 are under are required by law to wear helmets when riding a bike. The Yough River Trail Council strongly encourages all participants to wear helmets when biking. Signature required of parent or guardian for participants under the age of 18. All participants are required to sign a release form.

Parade sponsored by VFW Post 8543, Uniontown at 3:00 pm on October 21, to welcome home all soldiers stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and other points of harms ways. Begins at WWII Memorial next to the Fayette County Court House. The VFW has a list of soldiers and is looking for more of these brave men and women. Late Night Catechism "Til Death Do Us Part"

This one-nun play deals with hilarious lessons on the Sacraments of Marriage and Last Rites,and even includes Sisters' own version of the Newlywed Game with the audience as participants. Be a part of the 'Til Death Do Us Part, Late Night Catechism 3. Even if you weren't taught in school by the nuns, you'll have a good time; if you were taught by nuns, it will bring back many many memories. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show begins at 7:30 pm.
